Open innovation for sustainability in western Bahia

AIBA LAB PROGRAM

Another fifteen startups were selected for AIBA LAB's open innovation program, created to identify and implement technological solutions for a sustainable soy supply chain in one of Brazil's most productive agricultural regions, Western Bahia. Set up as a partnership between Senai Cimatec, the Association of Farmers and Irrigators of Western Bahia (Aiba) and the Land Innovation Fund, AIBA LAB was designed to contribute to the expansion of innovation for sustainability through the collaborative participation of farmers, students, researchers, local communities and partner institutions. Organized in three cycles – HACKATHON, NEXT GENERATION and AIBA CONECTA – AIBA LAB drew in more than 80 participants and helped depict and comprehend the demands, challenges, and opportunities for sustainable agricultural development in Western Bahia. Here are the selected startups.
