Projects

If innovation is the driving force for change to sustainable agriculture, partnerships are the fundamental link that make it happen. We want to build a web of projects and partners working in a systemic way to promote sustainable agriculture.

Round 3

Four new initiatives coordinated by ten partners join the Land Innovation Fund in the third round of funding. Of the four selected proposals, three are focused on innovation actions in the Brazilian Cerrado and the third is concentrated in the Bolivian Chiquitanía, a region between the Gran Chaco and Amazon biomes. In all proposals, a broad and integrated arrangement of combined actions between diverse areas such as governance, nature-based solutions, restoration, and carbon market associated with technological investments, with impact on the territory.

Round 2

Seven projects were selected in the Land Innovation Fund's second call for proposals. The initiatives help address some of the greatest challenges of today's sustainability agenda, with innovation solutions that range from forest compensation programs to the monitoring and sustainable management of farms, from good agricultural practices and carbon sequestration to the development of financial mechanisms for payments for environmental services. With the second round, the Land Innovation Fund aims to foster and enhance a landscape of innovation in favor of a sustainable soy supply chain, free of deforestation and conversion of native vegetation in three priority biomes in the region: Cerrado, Gran Chaco, and Amazon.

Round 1

In our first funding round, we selected six partners to carry out seven projects, in a wide range of areas such as entrepreneurship, a multi-stakeholder platform, public policies, a territorial intelligence and monitoring system, online competitions for innovation, carbon balance, communication and farmers' participation.

Rather than working separately, we aim to establish points of convergence among the projects, for joint and integrated efforts towards sustainable and deforestation-free soybeans.

Startup Finance Facility (SFF)

Startups selected for the Sustainable Soy in the Cerrado Program (PSSC), launched and managed by AgTech Garage, can apply for financial support from the Startup Finance Facility, a novel initiative to manage and foster innovative solutions for a deforestation- and conversion-free and sustainable soy supply chain. With resources from LIF and expertise from AgTech Garage and a network of partners, the initiative seeks to catalyze the design, development, and delivery of novel solutions to make the soy supply chain in the Cerrado, sustainable, DCF and climate smart.

Direct Invitation

High quality proposals with strategic partners and synergies with the Fund's objectives to build innovative solutions in favor of sustainable, DCF, and climate-smart agriculture.
