Inconsistent technical data, misunderstanding of environmental legislation and the bureaucratic complexity of public agencies and their data bases cause delays and can jeopardize efforts to comply with environmental regulations. Vega Monitoramento's proposal is to overcome the lack of technical support for farmers in the Cerrado soy supply chain to adapt to ever growing environmental demands in national and international markets by creating a regulatory database for the region.

Through its participation in the PSSC, this startup intends to further develop the LYRA data platform and speed up implementation of its mobile application, facilitating user access to socio-environmental information, charted and categorized with remote sensing, artificial intelligence, and machine-learning technologies.

Using artificial intelligence and remote sensing, Vega will carry out socio-environmental and land-use diagnoses on farms and provide technical assistance to regularize their legal status, facilitating farmers' access to rural credit lines and to payment for environmental services, in compliance with international protocols.
